Letzten Sonntag waren wir zu einer Hochzeit in Tokyo eingeladen, bei der wir die Ehre hatten an der Hochzeitzeremonie im Meji-Schrein teilzunehmen. Das war natürlich sehr interessant und ich hätte niemals damit gerechnet so etwas einmal miterleben zu dürfen. Interessant auch, mal zu der Gesellschaft zu gehören, die dann von den zahlreichen Touristen dort fotografiert wird...
Aus Rücksicht auf die Privatsphäre kann ich allerdings nur wenige Bilder hier posten...

Last Sunday we were invited to a wedding in Tokyo, where we had the honor to take part in the Weddingceremony at the Meji-Shrine. That was very interesting and I never would have expected to do so. Also it was interesting to be part of the participants, wich then were photographed by the many tourists there.
Out of respect of the privacy, I can only post a few pictures here...

Ausflug nach Todoroki und Jiyugaoka
Trip to Todoroki and Jiyugaoka

Heute machten wir einen Ausflug zu einem Ort in Tokyo, den ich vor 4 Jahren entdeckt hatte, nach Todoroki, wo sich in einem kleinen etwa 1 km langen Flußtal ein wunderschöner Park mit einem sehenswerten Schrein befindet. Hier kann man durchaus vergessen, daß man sich in Tokyo befindet.
Today, we made a Trip to a place I discovered 4 years ago in Todoroki, where a park extends  in a river valley about 1 km of length. At the end of the valley on a hill stands a worth seeing shrine. At this place you can quite forget beeing in Tokyo.

Dieser Ausflug lies sich wunderbar mit einem Abstecher nach Jiyugaoka verbinden, ein kleiner aber sehr angenehmer Stadtteil mit einem "kleinen" Venedig! Aber zuerst gab es Adena-Kebap in einem kleinen Türkischen Restaurant in Jiyugaoka.
It was very easy to combine this trip with an excursion to Jiyugaoka, a little pleasent district with a "little venice".

Zum Abschluss nahmen wir noch etwas von dem wunderbaren Kuchen aus einer Konditorei in Bahnhofsnähe mit.
At the end wo got some wonderful cakes out of a cafe in the staion area.

Vor kurzem machten wir einen Ausflug zu Ikea, ungefähr 40 Minuten von unserer Wohnung entfernt in Minamifunabashi. Es war ein sehr spezielles Gefühl, daß einem alles sehr bekannt vorkam, Köttbullaressen(wobei das Roastbeef dort viel leckerer ist!), dem Ausstellungsgang folgen und in einer langen Schlange an der Kasse stehen und doch mit ganz anderen Menschen.

Recently, we made a trip to Ikea in Minamifunabashi, about 40 minutes from our home. It was a very special feeling to be there because everything seemed very familiar to us, like to be in a German branch of Ikea, eating Köttbullar(but i recommend the roastbeef in Japan because its much better!) walking the showcourse, standing in a long line at the cashiers desk but with totally differnt people.

Vorbei ging es an Tokyo Disneyland/Passing Tokyo Disneyland (I have to go there, soon!)

Köttbullar(überbewertet!)/Köttbullar(overrated)

Wir kauften uns zwei große MALM-Kommoden und ließen sie uns komfortabel liefern. Letzte Woche baute ich sie dann zusammen und bun haben wir drei, wobei ich feststellen mußte, dass sich das Weiss etwas geändert hat.
We bought two big MALM-Commodes and comfortably made use of the delivery service. Last week I had to assamble it and recognized, that the white has changed a bit.

Finally, we had three in a row:
